Magdalena (she/her)Karakehayova
CRPO Registered Psychotherapist

Hey there! I'm Magdalena, but people also call me Maggie. Picture me as your personal guide, here to help you navigate life's twists and turns with clarity, resilience, and a sprinkle of humor along the way.
In our sessions, we'll dive deep into your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, uncovering the roots of your challenges and connecting the dots between past and present. Together, we'll unravel the stories that shape your world, identifying patterns that no longer serve you and crafting actionable strategies to propel you toward your goals.
But here's the twist—I'm not just your therapist; I'm your partner in change, cheering you on every step of the way. Whether you're seeking to untangle relationship woes, conquer anxiety, or redefine your sense of self, I'm here to listen, support, and empower you to thrive.
So, if you're ready to rewrite your story, break free from old patterns, and step into the vibrant life you deserve, let's connect. Together, we'll transform challenges into opportunities and make your dreams a reality. Sounds good? Let's dive in!"
Modalities used: My approach to therapy blend elements of Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative therapy, Solution Focused therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches. I draw on different skills based on where you are at, and your personal journey.

Monika (she/her)Georgieva
CRPO Registered Psychotherapist

Hi! I am Monika - a fellow adventurer in this journey we call life! I am no stranger to the peaks of joy, the valleys of heartache, the roller coasters of emotions, the search for peace, and the mountains of uncertainty and challenge – they make life wild but also worth living! They have also helped me become a lifelong learner and someone who wants to support you in working through the ebbs and flows of your own journey.
So, how can I support you?
By offering you a space where you can pause, take a breath, check in with your inner compass, envision the destination, and consider the many paths you can take to get where you long to be. Together, we will explore the mission you are on – whether it’s about self-discovery, finding peace and happiness, rebuilding trust and connection, healing painful wounds, understanding emotions, or setting boundaries and managing pressure or expectations. We will also take a look at the paths you have already walked, the relationships you have encountered and built along the way, the strengths you have developed that have gotten you this far, and the things that you may need to keep going.
As your therapist, I welcome you with kindness and compassion, get genuinely curious about what lights you up and feels most true to you, cheer you on every step of the way, hold hope for what may seem both possible and impossible, and express gratitude for your courage to forge the path that is meant to be yours.
A friendly reminder - I may also at times gently challenge you with deeper questions, tentative observations, and different perspectives. It is my hope that you will leave sessions with something new – whether that’s a feeling, resource, an idea, or question to ponder. In the words of Maya Angelou - “There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you”.
I am here to support you in living out the stories that your life is meant to be about. Ready to get started?

Frequently Asked Questions
The fee includes much more than the 50 minutes you may spend in session with your therapist. The cost of a therapy session also covers time your therapist spends on preparation, including ongoing training and professional development, clinical documentation, consultations, phone and email follow-up, and research to ensure they can provide you with appropriate tools and resources..
It depends! Some clients benefit from a few sessions and others from several sessions. Usually how long a client attends therapy depends on the complexity of the concerns, life circumstances, availability of resources and support, and any other factors that may impact progress. Therapy is goal-oriented and we aim to provide you with tools and perspectives that over time, you can begin using on your own outside of sessions.
Yes, we offer a free 15-minute consultation. If you are a new client, we highly encourage you to schedule one as this can be an opportunity for you to share about your hopes for therapy, ask any questions that you may have, and see if you and the therapist you meet with are a good fit.
As Registered Psychotherapists, our services are usually covered by most major insurance providers. Prior to beginning therapy, we always recommend that you double check with your insurance provider about your coverage for psychotherapy (NOT to be confused with services provided by social workers, psychologists, or psychiatrists). Please note that while we do not offer direct billing at this time, we provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider once you have submitted payment for each session.
We recommend that you start with weekly or biweekly sessions and gradually work toward a reduced frequency as you discover new tools and progress toward your goal for therapy. Clients often find that having more frequent sessions can help provide consistency, particularly at the start. However, we understand that everybody’s circumstances are different and the frequency of sessions can be determined based on your needs and therapist’s availability. This is usually discussed during the initial consultation or first session.
All of our services are virtual through the secure and user-friendly platform Jane. At this time, we offer video and phone sessions. Whether phone sessions are appropriate will be determined at your therapist’s discretion.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Depending on your needs and the therapist’s style, longer or shorter session times may be offered at a prorated fee.
